MUSIC GENESIS is designed to enlighten and educate the youth about many different aspects of music from the early century to the current styles through the voice of instruments.
Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound. It is a combination of elements such as pitch, melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, meter, and articulation. It encompasses a range of dynamics of loudness and softness. Instrumental music is performed with a vast range of instruments from created works of music (songs, tunes, symphonies, and so on). The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music can vary according to culture and social context.

Jeffery Reid holds a B.S. Degree in Music Education from Methodist University (Fayetteville, North Carolina). He has taught at the elementary, middle school and high school band levels for over 30 years. He continues to enjoy introducing new students of all ages from K-12 the learning experience of music education on a personal level.
